Luis 2-Live was Born and raised in Chicago. Whether it was performing skits in his basement or imitating the radio personalities, Luis was always fascinated with the idea of entertaining. After having the opportunity to spin on a set of 1200′s at the age of 13, there was no turning back. Luis was introduced to a whole new level of entertainer, the DJ. It combined two things he loved the most, music and performing. Inspired by House Music pioneers such as The Hot Mix 5. Luis perfected his skills and hit the scene with turntable trickery, scratching and a unique blend of House, Freestyle and Hip Hop.

Luis landed his first guest mix radio spot on Chicago’s 88.1 FM WCRX Chicago/Columbia College. He eventually enrolled in the school and joined the radio department. It is there that Luis had the privilege of becoming the music director and the host of the longest running mix show in Chicago, “The Masters In The Mix”. Soon after graduating, Luis pursued his career in radio landing a spot on the air at Chicago’s first Top 40 outlet in years, 92 KISS FM.
